岡本監督はかつて、「エンターテイメントの世界にはライブハウスとミニシアターの間に不必要な境界線があるが、僕はその境界線を壊したい」と語っていました。
岡本監督はかつてこう語っていた。「エンタメ社会において、ライブハウスとミニシアターの間には不必要な境界線がある。でも、僕はその境界線を壊したいんだ。」
この言葉は、#ボールドアズ君をはじめ、音楽作品でも映画作品でも、あらゆる作品の核となるだろう。
岡本の姿勢は瞬く間に東京へと広がり、イベントスペース「バーペガ」もその姿勢に共感し、オーナーの古郡翔馬は『ボールドアズ君』のポスターを壁に飾ることに快諾してくれた。
彼もまた、音楽と映画の間に境界線がないことを理解しているからだ。音楽と映画の境界線がないという岡本の考えを理解しているもう一つの音楽バーが茅野町にあるTAKAITOW。オーナーの浪田翠は、ミュージシャンであると同時に、インディーズアーティストのミュージックビデオも手掛けている。その点、両者にはシンクロニシティがあるようだ。
ライブハウスとミニシアターの境界線がないという思想は、オカモト(ココココロ)さんのライブ。本質はほぼ同じなので、多くの観客はディスコーズハイのエンディングときっと『ボールドアズ君』に出会ったように感じたはずだ。具体的に事件を紹介しよう。 2024年6月の寺田町でのライブでは、岡本監督が壊れたギターの代わりに石川(P-90のメンバー)にギターを貸してくれたのだ。
